Our goal wasn't to create a mountain bike conversion kit by simply adding a motor to a bicycle frame that wasn't designed and intended to operate with one. Instead, we designed the bike around the motor and the drive train with the necessary framework and durability needed to withstand the abuse and demands placed on it, and then included a comprehensive warranty to stand behind it.

The Bafang H550 Motor
The Bafang H550 is the perfect balance of reliability and power. It is a hub-drive motor that was designed for cargo bikes, so it is capable of over 85 Nm of torque, enough to easily carry you and whatever else you want to take on your bike. And even with all that power and torque it still weighs in at only 4.1kg, making it a super efficient motor. The Bafang H550 sends feedback through the system's sensors, making it easy to see how fast you are going and how much battery life remains at any time. The motor is incredibly well built and watertight, so you don't have to worry about putting this motor to the test in any condition.

It all boils down to battery composition, capacity and efficiency. Bakcou utilizes only high end lithium ion cells created to hold a charge for a longer period of time. They are hand selected to create optimal torque, and greater distance with each charge. Our 25ah battery is the longest lasting battery on the market!

It's all in the details, and that's why we use wide handlebars and locking handle grips for a greater base of support. We use wide stance, deep cleated pedals with wide holes to grip your boots and avoid accumulation of mud or snow. Our color LCD display allows for ease of use when flying down the trail, while the unparalleled traction and control of our Maxxis Minion fat-tires allow you to go where you want to go.
